Women must overcome a variety of challenges when taking on leadership roles or aspiring to become leaders. The history of leadership is rooted in theories and ideologies that exclude and place social and gender stereotypes on women. As a result, women in leadership encounter challenges and barriers that lead to unfair treatment. From inequitable salary and positions, to unfair expectations and work overload, the list goes on. My talk on women in leadership extends beyond the barriers and challenges but empowers women to break down barriers by excelling in their leadership. This workshop is to help women find their voice, strengths, and unique leadership qualities/styles and to pivot from a mindset of surviving to thriving.
